Charles Joseph Jett, 27, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday June 7, 2015. He was born on September 14, 1987.

Charlie was a 2005 graduate of North Marion High School. He was an avid softball player for the USSSA Slow Pitch Softball League. He enjoyed spending time with his fiancé, Taylor and his fur babies, Kenzie, Zues, Gauge, and Athena. He was also a coach for South Marion A-Ball in 2006. In his spare time, he liked sitting around a campfire and smoking his Hookah.

Charlie had just begun a new career as a technician with Dish Network. Prior to joining Dish, he was an assistant manager for Save-a-lot at the Middle Town Mall.

Charlie was an amazing, loving and caring son, fiancé, grandson, nephew, cousin, brother and friend. In his 27 years of life, he touched the hearts and souls of many people who were blessed to know him. He was Methodist by faith. His always-faithful Christian attitude enabled him to be a strong mentor and friend to all who knew him.

Charlie is survived by his loving fiancé, Taylor Tano, with whom he was betrothed to be married on July 18, 2015; his ever supportive mother, Denise Jett; father, Charles R. Jett; father-in-law to be, Rick Tano; devoted brother, Zachery Calvin Jett; sister, Amber Jett; cousin, (who was like a sister) Brittany Jurosko; grandmothers, Frances Cameon and Elizabeth Butcher; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Since he was so close to his mother and brother, they often called each other “The Three Musketeers”.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Cameon, Sr., John M. Jett, Sr., and Hoy Calvin Dalton; his aunt, Alice Marie Jett; great grandparents, Lena and Charles Jett; and his best friend, Kris Soaper.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday June 13, in the funeral home with Pastor Danny Blake and Rev. Wesley Dobbs officiating. Interment will follow at the Jett Cemetery on Odell’s Knob. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the Memory of Charles Joseph Jett at any First Exchange Bank Location or by mail to: First Exchange Bank, P.O. Box 388, Mannington, WV 26582.
