Record 18 to attend annual MHS reunion in Florida

A record EIGHTEEN people plan to attend the  annual Monongah High Alumni Reunion in Sarasota, Florida on Friday, March 3 at the home of Bill Meredith, Class of 1957, and wife Roleta Meredith, who organizes Clarksburg and Washington Irving reunions.

First arrivals will show up at 11:30 a.m. If previous reunions are any indication, Lions will still be there 4 hours later.

If you’re in Florida in March, you also might want to attend the annual West Virginia Union. This year it will begin at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, March 26 at the Savannah Center, 1545 North Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages, Florida.

Take IR-75 to Sarasota Exit 207 (Bee Ridge Road).  Proceed East on Bee Ridge for approximately 3-miles.  At the third Round-A-Bout, turn left onto Gary Player

Blvd.  Proceed to gate and give them your name.  Once through the gate, go to the first stop sign (Donald Ross Rd. E).  Turn right on Donald Ross and go approximately 300 yards and take the first right (Charles MacDonald).  Follow Charles MacDonald approx. 1/4-mile to 3201 on the right side.  Park in the driveway.  If it is full, park in the grass in front of our home.  Drive safely.  If you get lost, call Bill at (941) 342-0030 or (614) 582-0335 and he will come and get you.
