Joyce Richards passed away Thursday, February 16. She lived in Monongah with her husband, Vernon Richards.

Joyce Elaine Richards, 75,
of Monongah, WV passed away Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Ruby Memorial
Hospital. She was born December 10, 1941 in Hendersonville, NC, daughter of the
late Woodrow and Lottie (Mintz) Thurston.
Joyce was Baptist by faith
and worked as a cashier at Sam’s Club, Foodland and Walmart for most of her
life.
She is survived by her
husband, Vernon Joseph Richards; four children, John David Thurston and wife
Connie of Virginia, Frankie Brogdon of Florida, Vicki Lynn Richards Henderson
and husband Larry of Hendersonville, NC, and Robert Layne Richards and wife
Karen of Monongah, WV; one brother, Gary Thurston and wife Brenda of Myrtle
Beach, SC; many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
Joyce requested cremation as her disposition, which is
being arranged by Domico Funeral Home in Fairmont. A memorial service will be
announced at a later date. Memorial cards, donations, etc... may be sent to
