Monongah Middle is #1

It’s not just the Monongah High football team (5 state titles) or the MHS baseball team (1955 state title) that are champions.

Add the Monongah Middle School cheerleaders to the list of champions.

If you want to see the amazing routine that Monongah Middle School girls used to win the Beckley-Stratton Middle School BEST cheer competition title, go to the Facebook page of Jessica Yankie Brumage .

Amazing performance!

I got acropobia just watching the video.

Participating were Aunavyn Brumage, Aubrey Payton, Jaylen Schell, Ashley Winans, Maddie Deavers, Angelina Collins, Jaden Dent, Sarah Roscoe, Tristen Orme, Alexis Boyce, Cherell Bates.

Dee McDonald Wolf, Class of 1976, and Jonetta  Palmer Collins, North Marion grad, are the coaches.  Jonetta is the daughter of Teresa Jacobin Palmer, Class of 1973, and John Palmer.

There are 218 students attending Monongah Middle School, which is on the same property  where most of us went to Monongah High till the 1980 consolidation into North Marion High.
