Golden Cooper, Jr. passes away

Golden Cooper, Jr., 64, has joined his sister, Laura Cooper Bell, Class of 1970, in the Great Beyond. Golden passed away Thursday, August 11 in Wichita, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Susan. Golden had lived in Wichita for 40 years.

His brother, Marvin Cooper, and nephew, Harold Cooper, Class of 1967, also predeceased him.

Charles Cooper, Jr. is Class of 1966 and Helen Walbrown Cooper is Class of 1951.

There also is a Joan Glaser Cooper who once was a nun, Sister Helen.

Smith Family Mortuaries in Derby, Kansas is handling Golden’s viewing.

Cooper, Golden Andrew, Jr. Age 64, passed away August 11, 2016. Visitation 1-8 p.m. with family greeting 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 18, at Smith Mortuary- Derby, 1415 N. Rock Road. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Friday, August 19, at First Pentecostal Church, 1755 E. MacArthur Rd, Wichita, KS 67216.

Golden is preceded in death by his father, Golden Cooper, Sr.; brother, Marvin Cooper; nephew, Harold Cooper, Jr.; sister, Laura Bell; aunt, Lizzie; and twin grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; children, Jennie Cooper, Laura (Jonathan) Evans, Golden (Kara "Teada") Cooper, Michelle Kouba; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Sailor, Phoebe Evans; mother, Annie Mary Cooper; brothers and sisters; and a loving extended family.
