Diana Pishner Walker book becomes a play

Diana Pishner Walker’s “Hopping to America: A Rabbit’s Tale of Immigration,” has been turned into a play by the Vintage Theatre Company in Clarksburg.

It will performed by the Vintage Academy Youth Troupe inside the Uptown Event Center in downtown Clarksburg at 7 p.m. Friday, August 26 and Saturday, August 27, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28.

The play will be repeated on the Children’s Stage at the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival the following weekend.

Diana is a 1977 graduate of Clarksburg Notre Dame High School and Fairmont State who works for the Marion County Board of Education asa Fast ForWord computer aide at East Dale Elementary in Fairmont.

Her other books are “I Don’t Want to Sit in the Front Row Any More,” a memoir based on the loss of her parents, Anna and Louis Pishner, and a children’s book, “Spaghetti and Meatballs! My family is Italian!”
