Brenda Graffius’ mother-in-law passes away

Julia Digasbarro, 86, mother-in-law of Brenda Graffius Barna, Class of 1974, passed away Thursday, August 4.

Brenda lives on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina with husband Charles “Chuck” Barna.  Brenda is a nursing graduate of WVU and Fairmont State.
Brenda wrote: “Rest in peace, Julia.”
Brenda’s brothers are Edwin Graffius, Class of 1971, Dave Graffius, Class of 1973, and Donald Graffius, Jr.  Dave and Don, Jr. are deceased.

Their parents are Helen Prahl Graffius, daughter of Paul and Beulah Toothman Prahl,   and the late Donald Graffius.

Helen lives in Monongah. Her siblings are George Prahl, Charles “Tinker” Prahl and Sarah Prahl Dusenberry.

Dave was married to Debra Cheuvront Graffius of Fairmont. Their sons are Jamie Cheuvront of Charleston and Jarod Graffius of Fairmont.

Ed is retired from Wal-Mart, where he began as receiving manager in 1991. Jennifer and Kylie Linn are Ed’s daughters.

Eleanor Slavik Varga and Lou Varga are Brenda, Dave and Ed’s cousins and live in Brooksville, Florida.

Jon Graffius is North Marion Class of 1982.

Digasbarro, Julia   Passed away August 4, 2016. Age 86.
Loving mother of Chuck (Brenda) Barna. Step-mother of Larry (The late Sheila), Tom (Mary), John (Darlene) and the late David (Cindy).  Grandmother of Dan, Elissa, Anthony, Steven, Scott, Kimberly and Melanie. Great grandmother of
Katelyn, Connor, Natasha, Cole, Gianna, Lyla and Lacey.
Funeral Mass Monday 10:30 a.m. at The Henry Ford Village Chapel, 15101 Ford Rd, Dearborn, 48126. Gathering at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Visitation Sunday 1:30 -5:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Scripture Service Sun 4:00 p.m. Interment Woodmere Cemetery.
