EpiPen payoffs:

Heather Bresch, $16.5 million

Its inventor: $0

Mylan Pharmaceuticals CEO Heather Bresch, Senator Joe Manchin’s daughter, gave herself a $16.5 million pay raise from the profits of gouging users for the life-saving EpiPen.

The bonus for the guy who invented it: $0.

Sheldon Kaplan was an engineer for NASA before inventing the EpiPen, while working for Survival Technology in Bethesda, Maryland.

He developed what later became known as the EpiPen in 1973 because the military wanted an injection to counter chemical warfare.

Kaplan lived out his life in a typical suburban home with two modest cars in the garage.

And liked the person he saw in the mirror.

Heather was teaching aerobics in San Diego before moving back to West Virginia as a 22-year-old newlywed in need of a job.

Papa Joe talked to his friend Milan Puskar at a basketball game and finagled her an interview at Puskar’s drug company. Dropping by Mylan’s executive offices, then in a double-wide trailer in Morgantown, Bresch walked out with a job typing labels in the factory basement.

Now she extorts money from those desperately needing EpiPens and the taxpayers via Obamacare.
