Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood: Thistle & Tweed folk duo

Thistle & Tweed (Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood), a folk duo from Morgantown, have been added to the Aug. 16 Monongahfest entertainment.

“I am excited to announce we have some new entertainment coming this year!!!! Thistle & Tweed, Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood a folk duo! They will be performing from 4-6 at the Monongahfest.”

Brenda Manzo, a Fairmont East High grad who is married to Danny Manzo, Class of 1957; and Lisa Jacobin Manzo, 1986 North Marion grad, are part of Kristen’s family.

Brenda and Danny have lived together in Monongah since 1967. Danny was on the 1955 Monongah High state champ football team and was co-captain with Joe Meffe of the 1956 Monongah High state football title game runnerup team.

3:00 ~ Corn Hole Tournament ~ Basketball Court ($10 team entry)
         Tug of War Contest ~ at the Point by River ($10 entry fee)
4:00 -- Thistle & Tweed, Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood folk duo
6:00 ~ Duck Race on the river (Watch from the Bridge)
“Jenna Won’t Sing” Band ~ Oldies music (Local musicians) will close the night out with an AWESOME FIREWORKS DISPLAY!!

Ms. West Virginia United States Kristin Wilson of Mannington will lead the Monongahfest parade. She also will crown Little Miss Monongahfest.

The Town-Wide Yard Sale will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 in the parking lot under the big tent. 

The 3rd annual Monongahfest Car Show will be Sunday, Aug. 17.
