Kitty Morrison leaves hospital

The happy news from Mary “Kitty” Ahouse Morrison, Class of 1968, who lives on Lyndon Avenue in Monongah:
Kitty Morrison
Get to go home today. Waiting for the paperwork and IV to be taken out.”

Later she posted:

"Glad to be home. Animals happy to see me."

Kitty has been in Fairmont General Hospital since July 3 while they ran tests on her.

In February she was a visitor to Med Express because her arthritis kicked up while she was driving in snow.

Kitty is Monongah High Alumni’s Traveling Lady, whose sister, Susan Ahouse Schrader, Class of 1971, lives in Piscataway, New Jersey and Stoney Lonesome. Their brother is Mike Ahouse, a North Marion graduate and Monongah mailman.

Kitty has partied it up with a limousine loaded with ladies of similar bent on their way to New York City, lived it up in Key West, soaked up sun and fun in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and run a half-marathon in Chicago.

Kitty’s birthday is Jan. 29. Expect another blowout party that day. Once she recovers, Kitty can get ready to prepare another Thanksgiving dinner for siblings Sue and Mike on Lyndon Avenue in Monongah.

After seeing this article, Kitty posted:

My next big trip John isn't until November when I will be going to Cabo San Lucas with Sue. Saving all my money and energy for that. Maybe a couple of day trips.

Doris Carpenter Rogers, a 1971 graduate, is thrilled that her lifelong friend has been freed from FGH. Doris, Kitty, sister Sue and Bertha Jones Wilson, Class of 1972, traipsed off to the 2014 Monongah High Alumni Reunion together (I posted photographic evidence of that on this Monongah High Alumni blog in an earlier article) where they met up with Sally Wood Tarley (MHS Alumni blog evidence of that, too).

Monongah High's Miss Kitty is more famous in Marion County than the one on TV in "Gunsmoke."
