3 Crosses to provide Monongahfest breakfast

3 Crosses Ministries will have a Country Breakfast from 7a ~ 10a to begin the Aug. 16 Monongahfest day at Monongah Town Hall. Menu is scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy and biscuit, fruit, coffee, milk and orange juice. 

$7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Pastries and bake sale items at additional cost. 

Festival will be Saturday, August 16.

Jenna Won't Sing Band will perform again.

3rd Annual Monongahfest Car Show will be Sunday, Aug. 17. 

The Monongahfest committee is working on some new events this year. 

A tug-of-war contest is in the planning. Each team will consist of 10 people. The entry fee per team is $100/$10 per person. 

It will be at the point down by the river on the day of the festival. The team could win a generous amount of money depending on how many sign up.

Car show entry fee is $5 and all the proceeds go to the Brogan Raddish Scholarship Fund. Door prizes, 50/50, goodie bags, food, music.

The scholarship fund is in memory of Brogan Raddish, granddaughter of Dietta Harden Goush, Class of 1959, who is married to Paul Goush, Class of 1954.
Young Brogan Camille Raddish lost her battle with a rare form of bone cancer four years ago.
The college scholarship was named in her honor. Marcie Goush Raddish is Brogan’s mother. Dietta is an assistant teacher at North Central Community Action. 


The Town-Wide Yard Sale will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15 in the parking lot under the big tent. There’s a $5 setup fee. Facebook message Patty Steele McCombs or Diane Huffman  Prunty.
