The teachers uprising that was born
in West Virginia continues to spread in America.
For the better part of
two months now, teachers strikes and walkouts have been spreading from West
Virginia to Arizona.
Thousands of Kentucky
educators rallied on Friday at their state Capitol, as Oklahoma's largest
teachers' union called for an end to their nine-day walkout.
West Virginia won raises
not just for teachers but for all the public employees of the state of West
Virginia.
All this despite the
fadeout of power in other unions around the country in the face of
Republican control of the Senate, Congress, White House and most state
governerships and legislatures.
