In July, 1986 North Marion High graduate Melissa Myers-Lampinen was named principal at Flemington Elementary School on Simpson Road in Flemington, which is in Taylor County.


Flemington was named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

Melissa is a Marshall graduate.

Her husband, Scott Lampinen, is a retired superintendent of Upsher County Schools.

Larry Myers, Class of 1964, and Ricky Moorehead Myers, Class of 1966, are Melissa’s parents.

Sherman Myers, Class of 1940, Goldie Basagic, Class of 1943, are her grandparents.  Sherman was active in the Monongah High Alumni Association.
