Eugenia "Genia" Mae Boyce, 55, of Monongah, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at her home. She was born in Marion County on June 20 1959 a daughter of the late Eugene Garrett West and Dorothy Mae Kennedy West.

Mrs. Boyce was a member of the Salvation Army Home League for over 20 years. She was a country western singer. She sang at local festivals and karaoke at Mom's Restaurant. She was also a literacy Volunteer.

Genia also worked at several places in the Fairmont area including, Murphy Mart, Solo Gas Station and the Film Box.

She was a devoted wife and homemaker. 

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, William "Bill" Boyce; her brother, Richard "Rick" West of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Carol Jean West.

Friends may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Tuesday from 1pm to 8pm and Wednesday from 10am to 11am. The funeral service will be at 11am on Wednesday at the funeral home with Lt. Benny Carringer of the Salvation Army. Interment services will be private.
