99 for Monongah’s golden oldie

Goldie DeFazio Lipinski, Class of 1937, celebrated her 99th birthday April 5 at her Pleasant Acre’s Christian Haven residence.

Goldie is the widow of Henry “Cheese” Lipinski.

Her daughters are Judy Lipinski Cook, Class of 1958, who lives on Pike Street in Monongah and is the widow of Joseph “Mickey” Cook; Henrietta Lipinski Hawkins, Class of 1959, who passed away in 2015 as the widow of Charles “Chuck” Hawkins; Sandra Lipinski Hawkins, Class of 1962; and Joyce Lipinski Evans, Class of 1969, married to Donnie Evans, also Class of 1969, and a teacher at Jayenne Elementary School on Country Club Road in Fairmont.

 

Loraine DeFazio Barth,  Class of 1951, is her sister and lives in Bridgeport.  Jean DeFazio is Goldie’s sister-in-law.
