An
Alabama football autographed by head coach Nick Saban, Class of 1969, and his
wife, Terry Constable Saban, will be the main prize raffled off at the July 17
J&J&Lions Get-Together in the Monongah Town Hall.
Brother
sent me a boxful of other items that also will be given to those who purchase
tickets after they enter the hall, restricted only to those who have
pre-Registration forms filled out and delivered and paid $20 per person for the
dinner and night of music for listening and dancing. It will begin at 6 p.m.
with the dinner and continue till 9 p.m. The ticket drawings will be held
midway through the event.
Every penny for the drawing tickets will go to the Monongah High Alumni Association scholarship fund.
If you
would like to attend, print and fill out the Registration form and mail it with
$20 per person and you choice of entrée.
No one
will be allowed entry without Registering IN ADVANCE. Only those granted
entrance can buy tickets for the drawing.
This
is NOT – I repeat, NOT -- the annual Monongah High Alumni
banquet but a John Olesky attempt to get family and classmates together during
the summer as a break from the COVID restrictions.
The
annual Monongah High Alumni Banquet will be on Labor Day weekend at the Knights
