Johnboy Palmer was re-elected mayor
of Monongah with 169 votes.
Sheila Runyan replaced Patty McCombs,
Town Recorder for 20 years, who resigned for a successful run on the Town
Council.
Top vote-getter for Town Council was
Aaron Justice, with 111 votes, followed by Mike Parker with 110, current
councilwoman Susan Sanders with 100, Roger Huffman with 99 and Patty McCombs
with 92.
Susan Sanders, Aaron Justice and
Roger Huffman were incumbents. Mike Parker is the only newcomer, although Patty
McCombs is new to Town Council but a long-time fixture as Town Recorder.
Brenda Manzo, elected in 2019, was
not a candidate. She has been married for 58 years to Danny Manzo, Class of
1957, who was on the 1955 Monongah High state football championship team.
