15 DAYS TO GET RESERVATIONS TO JOHN OLESKY FOR JULY 17 GET-TOGETHER

 

People you will meet if you come to the July 17 get-together in the Monongah Town Hall

These are the first confirmed Reservations for the Saturday, July 17 J&J&Lions Get-Together in the Monongah Town Hall. Word is that more are on their way.

Dinner at 6 p.m. Music for listening or dancing till 9 p.m.

It is open to anyone who gets a Reservation IN MY HANDS by June 26 as long as they have had their COVID vaccines – families of Jackie Olesky Straight, Class of 1955, who lives in Rivesville, and John Olesky, Class of 1950, who lives in Tallmadge, Ohio; our Fazio cousins in Monongah; Monongah High alumni; residents of Monongah who didn’t graduate from Monongah High; and anyone who wants to join people in these categories.

That’s so that we can let Say-Boy Restaurant know how many mouths to feed and how many of each entrée were requested.

We want it to be as safe and as much fun and full of nostalgia as possible.

Councilman Susan Staron Sanders, Class of 1971, and Shelly Yankie, on the Monongah Chistmas Lights Committee, will be hanging red and black streamers (Monongah High’s colors) and I will be bringing a 24 x 38 frame photo of the Monongah High Lion and a 15 x 25 foot WVU quilt-like cloth to display and to hang from the ceiling.

And they are working on a cake with a Monongah High theme and pastries with an “M” for Monongah High.

The music will contribute to the nostalgia, to patriotism, to loving couples and will include “Country Roads,” of course.

There be NO last-minute admittance at the door for those without Reservations. The Reservations list will be posted at the door.

So you have about 2 weeks to get in on the action or hear about all the fun you missed on July 17.
