Monongah's Betty Morris Gorbey passed away Thursday, December 29.
Betty’s brother, Carl Morris, is Class of 1966.

Danny Thompson, Class of 1975, who lives in Monongah with Betty’s
daughter, Letha, is her son-in-law.

Betty Naomi Gorbey, 78, of Monongah, passed away Thursday (Dec. 29, 2016)
at Fairmont Regional Medical Center.
Betty was born April 14, 1938, in Fairmont, daughter of the late Chester
and Letha Wright Morris.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Letha Thompson and husband Danny of
Monongah; a son, Frederick Gorbey Jr. and wife Jackie of Monongah; a brother,
Carl Morris and wife Barbara of Monongah; a sister, Josphine Herndon of
Baltimore; four grandchildren, Rocky Gorbey and wife Kelly, Sarah Gorbey, Vicky
Wilson and husband Chris, and Joey Parschke; and six great-grandchildren, Ellis
Gorbey, Alley Wilson, GiGi Wilson, Luka Wilson, Jensen Gorbey, and Rose
Patschke.
In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband,
Fredrick Gorbey Sr.; a brother, Sonny Nelson McCoy; and a sister, Betty Martin.
The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday, 1-8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m.
until 1p.m. Tuesday at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. Fairmont. The
funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor
Sabrina Haught officiating. Interment will follow at Shinnston Memorial
