Phil Colanero soaking up sunshine with Betty Hanlin

Phil Colanero & Betty Hanlin
Phil Colanero, Class of 1963, and fiancé Betty Hanlin, after soaking up North Carolina sunshine in the Winston-Salem suburb of Frankliton, are headed for Destin, Florida.

Betty’s brother lives there. They plan a month’s stay before returning home for Thanksgiving in Morgantown, where they live.

Betty is doing well after a kidney replacement.  Betty’s son, Daniel, passed away earlier this year.

Phil’s father was on the unbeaten 1940 Marion County Champions Monongah High football team.

Monongah High graduate Judy Haggerty, who spent 42 years in Florida, lives in Forest City, North Carolina, which is an hour or so south of Asheville, North Carolina, and about 45 minutes from Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Other Haggertys at Monongah High included Mary Ellen Arnett Haggerty and Ronald Haggerty, both Class of 1959. And Sharon Haggerty, Class of 1961.
