Jim Foster ‘feels better’

Jay Holman, Class of 1971, reports that he talked to Jim Foster on Saturday and “He said he feels better but is tired. I let him know we are thinking about him.”

Jim had surgery September 15 in Cleveland Clinic. His wife, Linda Phillips Foster, Class of 1977, was with him, of course.

Jim and Linda were wed in 2014 at Valley Falls State Park, which is off Exit 137 of I-79. Two other Mononogah High grads were in the wedding party: Brenda Phillips Waugh, Class of 1978, and Jeanie Phillips Nibert, Class of 1975. All three Phillips sisters in the wedding are former MHS prom queens.

Jim is about as Monongah as you can get. He grew up there, went to Monongah Middle School and Monongah High School.

Linda is from Monongah, too, and, of course, went to Monongah High.

Jim and Linda live in Fairmont.

Roy Foster, Jr., Class of 1945, is Jim’s father and 1948 Farmington High grad Dolores Headley Foster is his mother.

Roy’s sister, the late Ida Foster Shaver, also was a Monongah High grad.
