Monongah Elementary School has a medical
care clinic available at 8:30 a.m. for a half-day on Monday through Friday.
Monongahela Valley Association of
Health Centers opened the clinic Thursday.
The school nurse sees several students
a day but cannot prescribe medicine. A nurse practitioner on Thursdays will prescribe
medication.
Students can receive well child visits,
sports physicals, vaccinations and treatment. It’s a pediatric office on the
school grounds.
MVA has school clinics at North Marion and
East Fairmont high schools.
