West Virginia girls almost run over by cruise ship

Two girls from Princeton, West Virginia on spring break barely averted being run over by a cruise liner in Port Canaveral, Florida harbor today.

They are Skylar Penpasuglia, 19, Allison Garrett, 20.

They were jetskiing near the cruise ship’s lane. Authorities decided not to press charges against the two girls.

A Port Canaveral harbor pilot and a sheriff’s deputy teamed up to rescue them as a Carnival Cruise ship moved toward them. The rescue craft barely pulled away from the oncoming cruise ship.

Carnival Magic Captain Doug Brown saw them on the jet skis and alerted Brevard County Sheriff’s Deputy Taner Primer, who pulled the wayward pair to safety.
A cruise ship passenger captured the rescue on video. You can see the video by clicking on the blue http://finance.yahoo.com/news/carnival-cruise-ship-almost-hit-122542049.html
