Lorraine Snider Hulderman and Raymond “Bugs”
Halderman, both Class of 1966, celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary Saturday, March 11.
They live on Swisher Hill.
At Monongah High Lorraine was active in
sports and in the Glee Club.
Bugs played 4 years of football at
Monongah High, making the all-Mason Dixon Conference team; three years with the
Lions’ baseball team; and even a year in basketball. Quite the all-round
athlete.
Both were in the same MHS graduation class
as Irene Fazio Preolitti, my cousin because her mother Frances Olesky Fazio was
a sister of my father John W. Olesky, Sr.
Bugs’ mother was
Olive Jane Kniceley Hulderman of Idamay. His siblings are Sylvia Ann Hulderan
Edwards, Class of 1967, living in Idamay with husband Ed Edwards; Tom
Hulderman, Class of 1969, married to Jane Hulderman and a pass receiver on the
1968 state football championship team with quarterback Nick “Brother” Saban,
the Alabama football coach; and Don Pitman, Class of 1962, who lives in White
Hall with wife Jane.
