Shirley Koval Dodd’s daughter passes away

Attorney Vickie Rene Dodd, daughter of the late Shirley Koval Dodd, Class of 1953, passed away Saturday, February 25. Richard Dodd was Vickie’s father.

Shirley’s brothers are John Koval, Class of 1956, who lives in Cincinnati, and Larry Koval, Class of 1968, who lives in Columbus.

Shirley’s other child, John Dodd, lives in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

Through her mother, Anna Dudiak Koval, Shirley was a cousin of Rosemary Raymond Pagliaro of Fairmont and the late Bob Raymond of Fairmont, whose mother was Mary Dudiak Raymond, wife of Angelo Raymond.

And her aunt, Sophie Dudiak Shelosky of Monongah, married to George Shelosky, both deceased.

Vickie Rene Dodd, 53, of Idamay passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at her home. She was born May 13, 1963 in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Richard and Shirley (Koval) Dodd.

 

She is survived by a brother, John Leo Dodd, II and wife, Robin of Mt. Vernon, IL; a nephew, Jonathon Ian Dodd; and her beloved Miniature Schnauzer, Phoebe Jane.

 

Vickie was an attorney and served as a Chairperson on the Greater Marion Public Service Board. She was a member of the Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church.

 

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 10, with a vigil service being held Friday at 7 p.m. by Father S.A. Arokiadass. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday March 11, in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Shuttlesworth officiating.
