Send lights donations to the Town of Monongah

Susan Sanders, an administrative assistant at Personnel spearheading the fundraising drive for brackets to install Christmas lights on Monongah’s streets, wrote:
“Just got home from the Christmas lights meeting. I do have information on where you can

send donations for the lights. Make checks payable to the Town of Monongah. Write in the memo Christmas lights fund.
“I cannot tell how much I want this for our wonderful town and it's up to us to get it done. Any questions, feel free to text or email me at smokiee24@comcast.net .
“The Town Meeting is Monday night and we are going to be discussing the cost of having this done. So those who could not make it this evening, please come to it. Not only for this but to get involved in what our town is doing. It's so important. Thank you all. I will not stop.”
The town of Whitehall donated seven lights it had to the town of Monongah when Whitehall got new Christmas street lights. The cost of brackets to put the lights up in Monongah will be about $400.
Susan and husband Ron Sanders live in Monongah next door to Mayor Greg Vandetta and his wife, Janice Manzo Vandetta.
Susan writes about their home:
“At Christmas time we go crazy with lights; you can't miss it. One reason we like doing it is for the elderly people. They forward to it every year. I love helping and doing for people.”
If the money is raised for the brackets, the entire town of Monongah will be able to look forward to the Christmas lights every year.”
