Joe Martin’s health situation

Arlene Kitchin, wife of Joe Martin, Class of 1957, Facebooked this account:
“Joe started having post chemo pains last night, didn't sleep, couldn't move without extreme pain this morning. Had to cancel our drive to Deland, FL to attend Jen's mother’s funeral. Joe is resting now with a heating pad, a big fluffy blankie, and some oxicodone. But if he coughs or moves he groans in pain. In the past these pains usually last 3-4 days. Poor Joe.”
Joe, a professional photographer, had strokes in March and lung surgery in June in St. Petersburg, Florida. Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymph system caused by the body’s cells behaving abnormally.
Joe and Arlene, an artist, show up regularly at the Monongah High Alumni Reunion/Sarasota at the home of Bill Meredith, Class of 1957, and wife Roleta, a Clarksburg Washington Irving High grad.
