Tom & Ruby Fleming’s daughter passes away

Summer Dawn Davis, 28-year-old daughter of Ruby Fleming and stepdaughter of Tom Fleming, both North Marion graduates, passed away Tuesday, July 12.

Summer Dawn Davis
Summer, who once lived in Monongah, was a Clarksburg resident. Tom and Ruby, who attended Monongah High till it closed, live in Bridgeport.

Tom made an impassioned Facebook plea for understanding of addiction, which has struck down far too many in America, more than ever, it seems.

Monongah history is littered with Flemings, most of whom looked down on the rest of us. Because they lived on Fleming hill which overlooked the Booths Creek railroad bridge, West Fork River, East Monongah and West Monongah.
