Alabama coach Nick Saban, Class of 1969, Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher and Seminoles assistant coach Rick Trickett, all West Virginia natives, ask high schools in Alabama and Florida to donate uniforms to help teams in flood-ravaged West Virginia schools.

Clendenin Herbert Hoover High School near Charleston was one of the hardest hit among the 25 schools that were flooded. Greenbrier West High School’s damage was mostly to the property around it. Richwood High also was damaged.

Brother was the quarterback on the 1958 Monongah High state championship football team before playing at Kent State and being an assistant coach at WVU, where he handled defensive backs under head coach Frank Cignetti.
