The Monongahfest is almost here!

Monongah Town Record Patty Steele McCombs and band leader/car aficionado Greg Patrick are getting excited and revved up about the Monongahfest weekend, which will start Friday with the Town-Wide Yard Sale.

Let the enthusiastic leaders of the party pack tell it:

“The tent will go up Thursday...... the food vendors and crafters will start rolling in Friday night. The MONONGAHFEST is getting ready to ROCK this town. The parking lot will slowly fill up with familiar smiling faces. Come out and enjoy the great entertainment we have lined up this year. We will start out with our local and talented Maddie Nickerson at 3:00p. Thistle & Tweed will be performing @ 4p they are a Folk Duo (Kristen Manzo & Patrick Blood) I cant wait to hear them again! 6:00p The Gamblers will take us back to the good ole Rock n Roll days and you wont even have to leave Monongah. “Jenna Won’t Sing” Band will take the stage starting @ 8p. Rocking us with their Oldies Music. Ending the eventful day at 10p with FIREWORKS!!”

Greg Patrick chimed in:

“All of that on Saturday and it's still not over. Car Show on Sunday. What a great weekend!”

Indeed, Greg. My only regret is that I’ll be on a Danube River cruise from Budapest through Vienna and into Germany during the weekend.
