Edward Edwards, Class of 1967, passed
away Thursday, October 12.
His widow is Sylvia Hulderman
Edwards, Class of 1967. They lived
in Idamay and were married 25 years.
Sylvia wrote:
“My precious husband ED passed away Thursday after suffering his
5th heart attack. He was a kind and caring man. A gentle soul. I was so blessed
to have been married to this man and felt his love

Ed’s
parents are Virginia
Keener Edwards of Worthington and the late Franklin James Edwards.
Ed’s children are Donnie Edwards
of Allen, Texas; Monica Gamble of Concord, Ohio; and stepson Tim Fitzwater of
Fairmont.
Ed’s siblings are Dennis Edwards
and Albert Edwards of Elkhart, Indiana, Tom Edwards of Tunnelton, Don Edwards
and Mike Edwards of Worthington, Jeff Edwards of Marietta, Ohio and the
late Dorrena Edwards Harris.
Sylvia’s
siblings are Raymond "Bugs" Hulderman, Class of 1966, who married
Lorraine Snider Hulderman, Class of 1966; Thomas Hulderman, Class of 1969, who
married Jane Hulderman; and Don Pitman, Class of 1962, who married Jane Pitman.
Their mother was the late Olive Jane Kniceley Hulderman of Idamay.
Sylvia
previously was married to Don Fitzwater, Class of 1966.

Edward Allen
Edwards, 68, of Fairmont, passed away on Thursday (Oct. 12, 2017).
He was born in Fairmont, on March 7, 1949, a son of Virginia (Keener) Edwards, of Worthington, and the late Franklin James Edwards.
A member of Monongah High School Class of 1967, he retired from Patriot Coal Federal No. 2 Mine after many years of service. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America.
In addition to his mother, Edward is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sylvia (Hulderman) Edwards of Fairmont; his son, Donnie Edwards and wife Terri of Allen, Texas; his daughter, Monica Gamble and husband Marty of Concord, Ohio; and his stepson, Tim Fitzwater and wife Heather of Fairmont.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Anthony Corso of Grand Prairie, Texas, Blake and Alyssa Edwards of Allen, Texas, Madison and Jake Morris of New Concord, Ohio, Patrick Gamble of Zanesville, Ohio, Matt and Shenea Campfield of Crooksville, Ohio, J.T. and Gayle Whipple of Zanesville, Ohio, Logan, Callie, Kearstin and Autumn Gamble of Zanesville, Ohio; Macie, Ellie and Zoie Campfield of Crooksville, Ohio, and Chandler and Sterling Fitzwater of Fairmont; his former wife, Darlene Edwards of New Concord, Ohio; his brothers, Dennis Edwards and wife Gwynn of Elkhart, Indiana, Tom Edwards and wife Mary of Tunnelton, Albert Edwards of Elkhart, Indiana, Don Edwards and wife Patty of Worthington, Mike Edwards of Worthington, and Jeff Edwards of Marietta, Ohio.
Ed was preceded in death by his father and his only sister, Dorrena Harris.
Honoring Ed's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Arrangements are in the care of Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home.
