Dustin Posten passes away

Dustin Ray Carpenter, son of Town of Monongah employee Brian Posten and his wife Lori Lynn Hinerman Posten, passed away.

Plans are being formulated for a memorial in the Hutchinson Community Building. Kim McIntire Frame's Facebook page is the contact point for that.

Brian and Lori live in Worthington. They were married in 1997.

Lori’s grandmother was the late Bertha Olive Hinerman of Monongah, whose children were Philip Hinerman of Farmington and Christine Barrack of Shinnston.

Brian is a North Marion graduate.

Dustin Ray Carpenter, 22, of Worthington passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 7, 1996 in Fairmont. He is the son of Brian and Lori Posten of Worthington, Ernie Carpenter of Wyoming, and the late Richard McIntire.


In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Laura Ringer of Worthington; his paternal grandparents, Patricia Carpenter of Fairmont; Russell and Linda McIntire of Bingamon; and Karen Boyce of Monongah. Also surviving are his brothers, Austin T. Carpenter of Worthington; Caleb Lee of Fairmont; Matt McIntire of Worthington; and James McIntire of Wallace; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him.


He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfathers, James W. Hinerman and Melvin L. Ringer; and his paternal grandfather, Ernest Carpenter.


Dustin enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, and hanging with his friends.


The family will receive friends at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Tuesday from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 1st at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sabrina Haught officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
