Charles Joseph Levelle, father of five Monongah High graduates, passed away Wednesday, July 4.

He is survived by wife Martha Carr Levelle, Class of 1942.

Joe was predeceased by wives Betty Levelle and Wanda Levelle.

Joe’s children are:

Nancy Lee Levelle Lee, Class of 1969, is married to David Lee, Class of 1967; the Rev. Michael Levelle, Class of 1970, married to Linda; John Levelle, Class of 1971, married to Jeannie;  Thomas Alan Levelle, Class of 1975, married to Nicolina; and Mary Regina Levelle Humphrey, who hangs out with Larry Salai, both Class of 1973.

Charles Joseph Levelle, 92, of Worthington passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born in Fairview on March 26, 1926, son of the late Thomas Seymore Levelle and Mary Regina Hudson Levelle.

Charles was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a master mechanic in the coal industry and enjoyed muzzle loading.

Charles is survived by his wife, Margaret (Carr) Levelle; children, Nancy Lee and husband David, Rev. Mike Levelle and his wife Linda, John Levelle and his wife Jeanie, Regina Levelle Humphrey, and Tom Levelle and his wife Nicolina; grandchildren, Holly Dingle (John), Tim Lee (Susan), C.W. Lee (Whitney), Brian Levelle (Brenda), Tammy Simpson (Lee), Karin Levelle, Rachel Levelle, John Levelle II (Ann), Marie Cosby (Travis), Chase Humphrey, Roseanne Thomas (Michael), and Thomas Levelle (Cassandra); great grandchildren, Brianna Simpson, Aubrynn Simpson, Nolan Simpson, Samantha Levelle, Daniel Marshall, Nora Kate Cosby, Haiden Levelle, Adilynn Levelle, Penelope Levelle, Audrey Levelle, Kaitlyn Lyle, Georgie Lyle, and Andrew Lyle; and a sister, Katherine Knotts.

In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his wives, Betty Levelle and Wanda Levelle; his brother, Virgil Levelle; and his sister, Lucy Levelle.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 and from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Morgantown.
