Helen Raddish Godhart passes away

Helen Raddish Godhart, sister of Mary Raddish Shuttlesworth, Class of 1940, who lives in Idamay, passed away Thursday, July 17.

Her brother, Mike Raddish, Class of 1933, who married Marilyn Byard Raddish, Class of 1936, was among eight siblings who predeceased her. The others were George Raddish, Class of 1955, Tony and Steve Raddish, Andy Krolich, Anne Tucci, Mamie Shepherd and Margaret Moorehead.

Helen A Godhardt (May 2, 1919 - July 17, 2015)


Helen A. Godhardt, 96, of Idamay, formerly of Sylvan Lake, MI, went home to be home with the Lord on Thursday, July 17, 2015 following an extended illness. She was born May 2, 1919, at Four States the daughter of the late Michael Raddish and Mary Leskovich Raddish Krolich.

Helen and her husband, Clarence “Bud” Godhart, were owners of Godhart Funeral Home in Keego Harbor, MI for over 30 years. She was also a member of the St. Peter’s Catholic Church and Our Lady of Refuge Parrish in Orchard Lake, MI.

She is survived by her only living sister: Mary R. Shuttlesworth of Idamay. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Clarence “Bud” Godhardt, 8 siblings: Tony, George, Mike, and Steve Raddish, Andy Krolich, Anne Tucci, Mamie Shepherd, and Margaret Moorehead, and her stepfather: Tom Krolich.

Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington on Sunday from 3-8 p.m. where a Mass of Christain Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday with Rev. Father Vincy Illickall as Celebrant. A graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery in West Bloomfield, MI. Online condolences may be accessed at www.hutsonfuneralhomes.com

The family would like to thank Theresa with her loving staff of Theresa’s Rose Garden Personal Care Home and the kind staff of St. Barbara’s Nursing Home for taking such good care of “Tete” Helen.
