Ash, Class of 1965, and Carol Ann Lake Ash celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary
Saturday, November 28. They live in Barracksville.
“Fifty one years ago today a short drive to Oakland, Maryland
turned into a long happy life. Carol has been a great wife and good mother to
our children. Love you, Carol.”
Stephanie Ash-Martin is their daughter. She lives in Jacksonville Florida.
I took the short drive from Monongah to Oakland to marry Monia
Turkette in 1955. We were married 48 years when my Mona Lisa passed away. She’s
buried in Cuyahoga Falls’ Northlawn Memorial Gardens with a double grave marker
that has “WV” under each of our names.
