Even
the rain couldn’t dampen the 2018 Monongahfest.
The
fireworks lit the sky to conclude Saturday’s events after Greg Patrick and his
Jenna Won’t Sing Band performed.
The
vendors’ booths provided food and items to purchase . . . and $100 for the
scholarship fund.
Paula
Domico, a Fairmont West and Fairmont State graduate who lives in Monongah, won
the Zipline share contest and the coupons that went with it.
Harry
Colosino won $100 on the Duck Race & Kyler Marks won $85 on the 50/50
drawing.
Barbara
Fleming Marsh, Class of 1947, wrote some good memories on her Facebook page and
for her Monongah News column in the Fairmont Times. Her husband is Fairmont
contractor Dennis Toler.
Neither
rain nor mud could keep Monongah folks from enjoying the weekend, including the
Sunday car show run by Greg Patrick.
30
years of practice really paid off for the 2018 Monongahfest.
