While
growing up Stephen worked at Fairmont Field Club as a caddy; this is where he
learned to play golf and at Country Club Bakery where he learned to cook.
During
the summertime when he was a teenager, Stephen would go to New York to visit
his sisters, Edith and Laura. After high school, he lived with Edith for five
years and worked at hotels in New York City and Atlantic City, but he missed
Fairmont, his friends and family. So, he moved back here. When he did, he
started working at the Fairmont Box Factory and did other odd jobs. After
a while, he started working at Alcan where he was blessed with a good job and
worked there for 30 years.
Right
before he started working there he met his wife, Eva B. Hostutler, and married
her on April 1, 1967 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. They had one child, Regina
Marie Brzuzy.
He
is survived by his daughter Regina Marie Brzuzy and her boyfriend Steven
Stansberry. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Margaret Hostutler of Sun
City West, Arizona; Helen Radin of Palm Coast, Florida; Lucille Brzuzy of St.
Clair Shares, Minnesota and Sue Brzuzy of Fairmont, and his brother John’s
girlfriend Karen Rankin of Richmond, IN and many cousins, nieces, nephews and
friends. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sisters, Freda (Robert)
Rogers, Edith Bland, and Laura (Ralph) Yereb; brothers Chester (Cecilia)
Brzuzy, Walter (Ruth) Brzuzy, Edwin, Stanley and John Brzuzy and brother-in-law
Jack Hostutler.
