Beth Pritchard Brooks, Class of 1978, and husband Rick Brooks introduced their two homes to each other when they brought their Eagle’s Nest travel trailer to their Harter Hill home in Worthington. It will be a short reunion, though.

Beth and Rick will be heading to Seattle before October is gone for another one of Rick’s projects installing and working on conveyor systems in Distribution Centers. Since each project takes months to complete, they sightsee at many of America's fabulous places, from the Grand Canyon to the Las Vegas casinos and beyond.
Beth lists herself as “a part-time gypsy at housewife” because she joins Rick off and on at his job sites.

They first set eyes on each other March 3, 1979 on a Saturday night listening to the band at Billy’s Meadowbrook with her sister Nene (Jane Pritchard Moore).  Writes Beth: “Our eyes met and he asked me to dance and we have been together ever since.”

When she’s in West Virginia, Beth has reunions with her sisters, Jonna Pritchard Barnett, who was in the first graduation class at North Marion in 1980 after going to Monongah High for three years, married to Brad Barnett, a Shinnston High grad for 33 years; and Nene, Class of 1975, an LPN at Pediastric Associates since 1999 and married to Henry Moore for 28 years.

Their parents are John Pritchard and Mary Jane McDaniel Pritchard, daughter of the legendary Ted McDaniel, once the Monongah Streetcar Stationmaster.

Mary Jane’s brother, Jim McDaniel, Class of 1960, lives in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Another brother, Donald McDaniel, Class of 1946, passed away in 1963.

Their sister, JoAnn McDaniel Huff, Class of 1949, lives in Worthington in the house that George Davis built on Kings Alley.

JoAnn's son, Robb Huff, Class of 1970, lives in Colorado. JoAnn also has two daughters, Valerie Huff Williams and Melissa Huff Salvatore, who both graduated from Elkins High School.
