It was 1968 and these tots lined up for a traditional graduation photo, even though they were just in kindergarten.

Well, they grew up and married and moved away, but I found photos of some of them as adults. And information about their lives later.

Cheri Lynn Slamen married Stan Cameon, 1981 North Marion graduate, and they have sons Drew and Evan Michael.

Tom Stevenski lives in Boothsville and works at the Merrick factory in Clarksburg that makes plastic clothes hangers. His parents are children’s book author Linda Tomlinson Stevenski, Class of 1965, who lives in Monongah with husband Andy Stevenski, a 1950 Grafton High grad.

Vincent Jay Michalski, who goes by Jay today, is a 1980 North Marion graduate who lives in Monongah with wife Debbie. He is the son of Ramona Fullen Michalski, Class of 1949, and the late Frank Michalski, who began with the Class of 1949. Ramona still lives in Monongah.

Adam Michna II, who provided the identifications for everyone, is a 1980 North Marion grad and the son of Adam Michna.

Antoinette Eates lives in Silver Spring, Maryland

Chris Goush lives in Newport News, Virginia.

The Sisters of the Auxiliaries of the Apostolate nuns in the photo are Sister Angela (on the left) and Sister Helen, who  today is Joann Glaser Cooper. She was in Monongah from 1965-1968 and good friends with Finegan Colleen because they knew each other in Michigan before they both came to Monongah.
The other surnames match those sprinkled throughout Monongah High history, but I couldn’t nail down their blood lines. If you know what happened to any of the others, either click on the “Comment” line below or email John Olesky at jo4wvu@neo.rr.com and I’ll add the information to this article.
