John Olesky, Jerry Loss, Paula Tucker, Elaine Loss |
Jerry Loss, Class of 1956, who lives in North Olmsted, Ohio and
John Olesky, Class of 1950, who lives 45 miles away in Tallmadge, Ohio, had a
cousins reunion at a North Olmsted restaurant.
John and Paula were in a Parma funeral home for calling hours
for someone on Paula’s sister-in-law’s side of the family. Parma is only 13
miles from North Olmsted.
Voila! Jerry and John got together, as they do every year or so.
Jerry lives in North Olmsted with wife Elaine. He grew up on the Mill Fall farm of his parents, Frank and Gezala Futten Loss, who came from Pellizzano, Italy to America in 1920 with John’s mother, Lena Futten Olesky, when they were children along with their brother, Si Futten, who was a long-time Fairmont barber before he passed away.

Previously, the Jerry and John cousin reunions took place a
birthdays in Brunswick at the home of John’s daughter, Monnie Ann, or poolside
at John’s previous home in Cuyahoga Falls.
Jerry’s brother, Robert Loss, also a Monongah High grad, passed
away in February in Shinnston. John’s sister, Jackie Olesky Straight, Class of
1955, lives in Rivesville.
