Farmington
High grad Rick Wiley, husband of Paula Rossi Wiley, Class of 1976, passed away
Tuesday, October 12 of pneumonia and heart failure.
They have been married 27 years and lived in Fairmont. Even though the Monongah Lions and Farmington Farmers were bitter sports rivals marriages between Lions and Farmers were not uncommon.
Paula, after Fairmont State and WVU,
embarked on a career as a Marion County Schools media specialist, teaching in
Barrackville.
She was an avid follower of Pink Floyd
Band.
Paula’s parents are James and Virginia
DeMary Rossi, Class of 1953, who was Tina Tartell’s life-long friend. Rick’s
are Dale and Nancy Wiley.
Paula’s cousins include Patti DeMary Evans and Paula Muto Kurczak.
Jay Michalski and wife Debby of Monongah are godparents to one of Paula Rossi Wiley’s daughters. Jay’s parents are Ramona Fullen Michalski, Class of 1949, of Monongah and the late Frank Michalski, who started with the Class of 1950.
