Monongah’s Amie Deem Long passes away

Amie Leona Deem Long of Monongah passed away Tuesday, January 1.

She was the widow of Gary Long.

Amie Leona Long, 76, of Monongah, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born in Ritchie County on December 24, 1942, daughter of the late James M. Deem and Elizabeth Copen Deem.

 

Amie is survived by her children, Amie Fluharty, Christina Dukich and her husband Toby, and Anthony Mugnano; step daughter, Stacey Green; grandchildren, Christopher Dukich, Stephenie Dukich, Brittany Bruce, and Brandon Nelson; step grandchildren, Madison Green, and Kennedy Green; great grandchildren, Austin Bruce, Natalie Dukich, Nathaniel Dukich, Ayva Dukich, and Aviana Dukich; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Amie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Long; a son, Dwayne Heldreth; and her siblings, James Deem, Jr., Chester Deem, Mary Grace Casto, Wayne Deem, Wilma Webb, and Charles K. Deem.

 

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Toby Dukich officiating.
