Don Evans, married to Wauneda Soles
Evans for 70 years, passed away Monday, January 14.
Their sons are Bill, Brian and
Bentley Evans and the late Robert and Bruce Evans. Don’s sister is Dolores
McElwee.
Their
son, Brian Evans, is married to Patti DeMary Evans, Class of 1972.
Brianna
Evans Winbish is Elite Barnyard Couture manager who lives in Fairmont and Brian
and Patti’s daughter.
Tina
Ann “Peaches” Aldridge DeMary, Class of 1945, and husband Frank DeMary, Jr.,
Class of 1947, are Patti’s parents.

Donald Louis Evans
May 13, 1927 - January 14, 2019
Donald Louis Evans, 91, of Fairmont passed away on
Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born in Brownsville, PA on May 13, 1927, son
of the late Clarence Ray Evans and Anna Beadling Evans.
Donald was a veteran of the United States Navy,
serving during World War II and retired as a motor winder for Westinghouse
Apparatus/Eastern Electric. He was a member of the First United Methodist
Church of Monongah. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 31 in
Shinnston.
Donald is survived by his wife, Wauneda Soles
Evans; his sons, William “Bill” Evans and his wife, Mary, Brian Evans and his
wife Patti, and Bentley “Benny” Evans and friend Pam McCoy; grandchildren, Erin
Gorman and her husband Dave, Ashley Painter and her husband Luke, Lindsey
Evans, Brett Evans and his wife Crystal, Brianna Wimbish and her husband Chuck,
Jeremy Evans and his wife Jennifer, Becky Wilson and husband Jeremy, Jennifer
Smith and her husband Chris, and Kyle Evans; great grandchildren, Connor
Gorman, Cooper Gorman, Joshlynn Boone, Marissa Boone, Maddox Wimbish, Camden
Evans, Brayden Evans, Brea Evans, Calli Smith, Katie Smith, Christopher Smith,
and Evan Wilson; a sister, Dolores MceLwee and her husband Donald; a
daughter-in-law, Judy Evans; and best friend and cousin, Bonnie Sue Moats.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in
death by his sons, Robert “Bob” Evans and Bruce Wayne Evans; and brothers and
sisters-in-law, Clarence Evans and wife Betty and Harry Evans and wife Olura
May; and daughter-in-law, Diane Cain Evans.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral
Home, 414 Gaston Avenue in Fairmont, on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 3:00
p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00
p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 2:00
p.m. with Pastor Bill Preston officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F
Cemetery in Enterprise with full Military Rites performed by the Marion County
