Frank DeMoss’ widow passes away
Shirley Vandetta DeMoss, widow of Frank DeMoss, the pitcher who brought
Monongah High its only state baseball title in 1955, passed away Sunday, January
20.
Her parents were Felix and Agnes Vandetta.
Her siblings are Carl Vandetta, and the late Jim Vandetta and the late Betty Vandetta
Dempsey.
They grew up on Pike Street Extension,
not far from the first of two bridges over the same Mill Fall creek that I crossed
when we visited Gezala and Frank Loss.
I’m Florida for 2 months and can’t do the
fancy things that I do in Ohio.
