John Prunty recuperating at home

John Prunty, Jr., Monongah Class of 1949, who turned 85 on October 14, is home from the hospital.

Daughter Debbie Prunty Poluck writes:

“Dad went into the hospital last Thursday. Doctors had been treating him for Congestive Heart, a lot more fluid off in the hospital & he feels better. But, he does have an enlarged heart with the one side only working 15%.

“They think he has had this problem for a long time, just got progressively worse. Dad's never sick & is very active for 85 (mows, gardens, vacuums, drives, takes good care of Mom & the list goes on).

“He was thinking the slowing down was just old age. He came home last night, feels better & is so glad to be home. He is on two heart meds & will be monitoring with the cardiologist.

Please keep him in your prayers!!! Thanks from the Prunty family!!!”

John is married to 1950 Farmington High grad Margie Jones Prunty.

Debbie is married to Louis Poluck, both Class of 1973. They live in Idamay.

Their son is Todd Poluck, married to Kirsten Poluck.

Debbie’s brother is John Prunty II, 1980 North Marion High grad. He lives in Monongah.

Tammie Poluck Shumate is Class of 1977.
