Donna Colvert Davis, Class of 1961, and Bill Davis, Class of 1958, have a great run every year from November 24 through Christmas.

Thursday will be their 54th wedding anniversary.

Then it won’t be long before they put up the same 7.5-foot tree and 20-inch wreath for Christmas, as they have for years.

Exclaims Donna:

“I still put it up every year. I love it still.”

They have three “great sons,” too, Donna adds.

As Monongah High Alumni Association treasurer, Donna keeps the Monongah High Alumni Reunion zipping along by handling the dinner-dance reservations at her 858 Park Avenue home in Monongah, near Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Since there has not been an MHS grad since the 1979 final graduation before Monongah was absorbed into North Marion High, it’s a tougher task than you might think. No replacements for those who pass away.

Husband Bill is on the MHS Alumni board of directors.

Donna helps me with this Monongah High Alumni blog by providing a list of the attendees after every reunion. It helps me write these articles and helps me help other people find classmates for future reunions.

If you want to congratulate Donna and Bill on their tremendous achievement, you can call them at (304) 534-5636 or email them at Dldavis315@comcast.net or go on Donna's Facebook page.
