Joe Martin ’57 improving after stroke

Joe Martin, Class of 1957, a professional photographer living on Treasure Island, Florida, seems to be recovering from his stroke.

Here the report by Arlene Kitchin:

Joe started today feeling the best he has felt since coming home from the hospital.  The unhappy face looked normal again.

We had appointments with three of his doctors today and have two more tomorrow.  All his vitals are normal.  The doctors are sure he is out of the woods, and on the best meds not to have a repeat.

He saw his GP, cardiologist, and retina docs today.

Still has vision issues.

We feel very optimistic after those visits.  He is going to be wearing a monitor for a couple of weeks to be sure there are no little unnoticed heart fibrillations.

Thanks you all so much for the many phone calls, emails and well wishes.  We both really appreciate your support.

Love,
Arlene
