NADINE WILLIAMS EZELLE, WILLIAM EZELLE'S WIDOW, PASSES AWAY

Nadine Williams Ezelle, widow of William Ezelle, passed away.

She was on the West Virginia Republican Executive Committee for 45 years.

She once was office manager of the Fairmont Sanitary Sewer Department.

Her father, John Barker Williams, worked for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad which moved him from Baltimore to Fairmont in that job.

Nadine was a 1945 Dunbar High graduate when segregation forced all Marion County children of color away from the other Marion County high schools.

Even though William had a degree in education from Columbia University when Dunbar teachers were dispersed to other Marion County schools he was not, and was shuttled to being a janitor till he finally taught at Thoburn School and later as a social studies teacher in Monongah Junior High.

Ezelle majored in history at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Nadine and William had six children.
