AAA MEANS AHOUSES ALWAYS ATRAVELING

AAA among knowledgable Monongah High Alumni stands for:

Ahouses Always Atraveling.

That would be the three siblings: Kitty Ahouse Morrison, Sue Ahouse Schrader and Mike Ahouse.

Their latest adventure was to Las Vegas casinos and Red Rock National Park in Nevada. I’ve visited Red Rock, which has an awesome entertainment venue. You sit amid the scenic rocks to watch and listen to concerts in nature’s “auditorium.” The Ahouse trio also did a bit of red rock climbing, too. And explored the Eldorado Mine but I don’t think they struck gold.

It turns out that, for Sue, the biggest adventure was trying to get home to Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania after her vacation was over. Enter Spirit Airlines, which loaded up all the passengers and then announced: “Oops!”

No pilot. Checked the passengers but no one was qualified to fly the large tubular container across the country.

That was at 7:50 a.m. Nevada time.

Appropriately, Kitty, Sue and Mike spent time in Criss Angel Mindfreak Planet Hollywood.

Spirit Airlines caused a better case of mindfreaking.

She finally posted: “Made it home” about 7 p.m. Friday. Apparently Spirit found a licensed pilot.

Ahouse threesome get around more than golfers. Check out their recent ventures:

I’m sure I missed dozens of their trips. NOBODY can keep up with the traveling Ahouse siblings. Their theme song is Willie Nelson’s “On the Road Again”!

Willie wrote the song in 1980 when the “Honeysuckle Rose” movie producers asked him to write something for the song’s soundtrack. “On the Road Again” became Willie’s NINTH Country & Western #1 hit. He got a Grammy for it as Best Country Song at the 1981 music awards.

And he sings it at every concert on his years of tours . . . for more than FORTY years!

Willie sings it. The Ahouse trio lives it!
