David Maynard Cunningham of Monongah passed away Friday, July 31.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Sandy Cunningham.

David worked for the Monongah Water Department from 1975 to 2007.

He is also survived by children Ace Cunningham and Lenny White of Monongah and Holly Sandy of Fairmont; sisters Glenda Dean of Monongah and Diane Brummage, of Fairmont. David and Karen have three grandchildren.

David Maynard Cunningham, 63, of Monongah, left this world to be with the Lord on July 31, 2020, in his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 04, 1957, a son of the late Oscar and Lucille (Collins) Cunningham.

David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Sunrise Chapel. He loved listening to Elvis Presley and collecting Elvis memorabilia. He was an Equipment Operator for the town of Monongah and an Assistant Boss in Maintenance with 33 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Karen (Sandy) Cunningham.

He is also survived by sons, Ace Cunningham and wife Tiffany, and Lenny White, all of Monongah; daughter, Holly Sandy, of Fairmont; sisters, Glenda Dean and husband David, of Monongah, and Diane Brummage, of Fairmont; three grandchildren: Luke Cunningham, Tanner Gorbey, and Stacy White; several nephews: Rev. Dan Cunningham and wife Kacie, James Dean, Mitchell Cunningham, and Steven Cunningham and wife Heather; cousin, Penny Collins, of Florida; and his closest friend, Roy Holt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Christopher Dean, and brother-in-law, Harry Brummage Jr.

There are no funeral services as David wished to be cremated, but a memorial service will be held at a later date.
